Parma Waltz is danced in Shadow Hold to the New Vogue Waltz Timing, based on the Viennese Waltz Rhythm. Dont let that worry you.....when I first heard this I immediately had images of professional couples blitzing around the floor at breakneck speeds!.
This New Vogue rhythm is danced to 3/4 timing however the tempo is slower, between 48-54 bpm is the accepted level.
