| Every once in a while, you zipper the logical, and release your impulsive. You deafen your mind, and listen to your heart. You stop dreaming and start revelling. For Shafqat, `Every once in a while, Comes everyday'. There are some people who are seeing, hearing, experiencing things like no one has done before. From adoring to advertising. From college coke to Collage. From date to debate. From gullidanda to golf. From jokes to journalism. From quaker to quizzer. From organisation at Nutty to national level. This is where the excitement begins. From the days I've started walking this earth, I've enjoyed every moment of it. |
| The odyssey with The Times of India started way back in 1993 (Brahmastra: my achievement in quiz at the inter-univ national youth festival at Univ of Roorkee). Thanx a zillion to Uttam Sengupta, the then Resident Editor of The Times of India and Preeti Lal, for giving that all-important life-changing break. And there has been no looking back. From Patna to Delhi and then to Bangalore. From starting with columns on quiz to writing about career, art, lifestyle and fashion,... and then getting some offers from dotcom companies. The journey has been full of gaunlet. I've been enjoying all those learnings while been instrumental in event management going upto the international level. ...And each and every success opened newer doors of opportunities and vice-versa (a veritable virtuous circle). The returns, in terms of tangibles and intangibles, have been astronomical... all an endeavour... ...to be more than a speck in the universe. |
