FORGING AHEAD WiITH DRIVE AND PASSION

"You got to be very careful if you don't know where you're going, because you might not get there." As the baton was passed from the 3rd to 4th committee, the same question appeared on my mind: In which direction is the club heading towards with the new management? The last committee successfully created a warm and friendly atmosphere where there were significant interactions between staff and students. Various activities such as CE soccer league, CE camp, CE week and Graduation Dinner further bond the students among themselves. Even more remarkable was the Operation Orion (an Overseas Community Service Project), which was initiated by CE students and best exemplified the spirit of " Sharing without Boundaries." To date, the project is still at the forefront of a pioneering group of overseas community services. Hence, the onus is now on the club to continue its heritage and to scale the achievements to greater heights. This is to be achieved through the following guidelines: 1. Promote and enhance the "CE Family Spirit" 2. Going Global 3. Humanitarian Apart from organizing activities that induces cohesiveness and Operation Orion 2002, this year, we will seek to contribute to the local community through community outreach projects. In addition, the new committee is looking at the welfare of the students. We will continue the trend where the CE department, though small in size is big on achievements. However, none of the objectives is attainable without your participation. Please continue to show the club your support and we shall build the CE Family together. "Knowing the activities was like opening your first bottle of champagne, getting involved was like drinking it." Let us all savor every drop of our university life.
