| "Although we are one and we act as if we are one, human beings are not natural carnivores. When we kill animals to eat them, they end up killing us because their flesch, which contains cholesterol and saturated fat was never intended for human beings who are natural herbivores" (William Clifford, MD, American Journal of Cardiology) |

POWER OF A VEGETARIAN DIET1. VEGETARIANISM AND LIFE SPAN: It is well documented that by simply switching over to a vegetarian diet, you can add up to 13 years to you life-span.2. VEGETARIANISM AND CHONIC DISEASE: Vegetarian diet decreases risk of several chronic degenerative disorders. This includes: decreases risk of kidney stones/failure, gastrointestinal problems, and various inflammatory problems. 3. VEGETARIANISM AND CANCER: Diet related factors are thought to account for 30% of cancer in developed countries. For example, there have been numerous studies done showing that people that moved from one country to another generally acquired cancer rates of new host country. Therefore, environment rather than genetic facors are key determinants in cancer rates. Taking a closer look: Japan's consumption of meat and dairy products have increased by ten fold between 1950-90's; as a result, the incidence of cancer, particularly colorectal cancer has increased by fold whereby the incidence is almost as high as the US population. In addition, there has been an international correlational study showing a strong association between the consumption of meat per capita to deaths from colon cancer. |
