The instruction at Nui-English is conducted under the concept “English and Activities”. In this regard, the activities are designed to accommodate students of different ages and levels. The students are therefore strongly encouraged to love and have fun learning English. Teaching styles stimulate students’ enquiries which lead to problem-solving activities, discussion, analytical thinking and knowledge application.
Instruction is divided into three levels:
1. Foundation
Students are expected to learn new vocabularies and basic English grammar as the lessons go through an explanation of grammatical rules and short reading passages
2. Intermediate
To strengthen the skills and experience, the intermediate level focuses on practice, especially in forms of multiple-choice exercise.
3. Exam Preparation
At this stage, students will have an opportunity to be familiar with questions collected from previous exam papers of well-recognized educational institutions. Teaching emphasizes exam techniques and revision so as to promote students’ confidence and fluency.
The instruction of English conversation, writing and telephone-based teaching share similar characteristics in that students are expected to participate and contribute to the class discussion.
