10/29/01Tomorrow is opening night in the NBA, and the Nuggets travel to Phoenix for our first game of the season vs the Suns.
HUGE NEWS in DNPC3!! Thanks to gfab, a login system has been implemented for this season's game. It has just been added here. You will need your username and password you supplied in the profile. If you didn't chose a password, I will email the one I chose for you soon (passwords are case sensitive). Also your username must match how it was entered. For most this isn't an issue but for some it might be. Here is the list of all 28 people and how their usernames are spelled in the system : aoslkc, boom187, chrony, churro, denvernugs, dereks, dice24, dx20003, egroves, gfab, hawkeye32, karnac, markus, mcnugget24, nuggets4, nugzpack, nve31, okie, priest, rock, sherky, solo, sportsvine, sstern, tnf, waker, wilt, wolv49.
If you forgot your password, email me. I will check email often in the next day or two.
There might be a bug or two but so far, its working great. The links will be updated soon on all the pages.
With this new login system, you will be able to login whenever you want, check your own personal schedule, enter in predictions whenever you want and change them, then after games are done, it should update the results page with everyones pick and scores, and then update the standings page! Makes my job way easier.
HOW TO MAKE PICKS : After you login, you should see a list of your 40 matchups with 40 boxes (one per line). To enter you score, use the following:
- If you pick the Nuggets to win a particular game, just enter the margin (e.g. if you think the Nuggets will win a game by 10, type 10 in the box)
- If you pick the Nuggets to lose a particular game, just type a negative sign plus the margin of loss (e.g. if you think the Nuggets will lose a game by 7, type -7 in the box)
For all picks already made, I will re-enter them myself to be fair (because they made their picks and might not be able to re enter them in time). If you still want to change these picks, it will be ok. Just login and do so.
Also remember, there is a timer. Once the game starts, you cannot make picks. This is out of my power. The picks get locked out, so be careful. The times used are the ones on the nba.com official Nuggets schedule (sometimes these are a few minutes before actual tipoff too).
Also, note a scoring change. Now if you pick the wrong team, your difference will not be doubled. Rather 5 points will be added (thus lowering your score out of 100 by 5 points). This shouldnt make too big of a difference in the long run.

10/24/01 Welcome Nugget Fans to the 3rd annual
Denver Nuggets Prediction Challenge. As you can already tell the webpage has been redone with a new look. The game itself will be similar but there have been a few changes (rules).
In addition, I am planning on adding more stats and features to the game to make it more fun and competitive. For example...
I hope this year turns out even better for the game as well as the Nuggets. If youd like, you can make your first prediction now. Be sure to check the schedules often to know when your matchups are.
