Overcoming ADD or ADHD
ADD - Page 2
Drugs only mask the symptoms - indeed, that is all certian kinds of prescribed drugs ever do -- they mask or cover the symptoms -- i am thinking of this disease and the use of anti-psychotic drugs for the mentally impaired ... those drugs mask symptoms .. certainly antibiotic drugs do more than mask symptoms, but, unfortunately, they have severe side effects, such as, in the case at hand, they damage intestinal ecology by killing off positive or helpful bacteria, while at the same time encouraging the growth and proliferation of negative or degenerative bacteria. While the use of drugs is often the medically chosen solution it is not a solution for anyone. It only postpones the treatment until knowledge and understanding advances to help make clear the subtlety and complexity of the disease. By analogy, dikes do not protect the town from rising river flow, unless the river goes down, the dikes provide no protection. Indeed they only work if nature cooperates by carrying away the excess water. So too with this disease, the drugs only mask the symptoms and unless there are dietary changes the disease will continue.
ADD is caused by a complex set of factors, the heart of which is poor, or disturbed digestion, which in turn is caused by a complex of factors, such as contaminated food (which is becoming more common place due to the use of GMOs, not less so) and damage to the intestinal lining due to a variety of factors - such as vaccinations, unsuitable food as a infant, and other factors whose character can be seen as impure, distructive and/or compromised.
Drugs do nothing to solve this problem. Indeed while masking the symptoms they actually further damage to the intestinal lining due to their very specific and known side-effects. (cf C-M,Campbell-McBride citations below). Indeed, it can be said that the damage caused by the use of drugs is due to the lack of knowledge (consciousness) about the subtety of the disease and lack of knowledge about what actually works directly to remove the cause of the disease. (cf C-M).
