The nth digri, is inspired by the African griot tradition, his hip-hop influences, and his Caribbean heritage. He has edited and contributed to an anthology of writing by Montreal authors of African descent, The Next Step. His poem, "Rows of Photos", was produced as a video and played on Much Music, and was included the CD Word Up (Virgin/EMI). In 1999, digri put together the critically acclaimed compilation CD, WordLife (RevWord Records), which featured the best of the emerging African Canadian spoken word poetry scene.
In 2003, he released a CD of his poetry, Tales of the North Coast, which was nominated for a Canadian Urban Music Award for Best Spoken Word Recording. The CD featured production by Manchilde of the Butta Babees and collaboration with Juno nominee The Mighty Popo.
The nth digri has performed in Canada, the Caribbean, and the United States. He founded and produced a popular urban poetry series in Ottawa, the Golden Star Lounge, and led a contingent to Chicago for the National Poetry Slam, where his poem �Sugar Cane,� was selected to appear in the Best of the 2004 NPS anthology. His performances have been broadcast on radio, including nationally on CBC Radio, and on TV (TVO, ZedTV, Much Music, and City TV).
He most recently directed, hosted, and performed in a UNESCO event in Ottawa for World Poetry Day featuring Lillian Allen and George Elliott Clarke. His forays into slam poetry saw him become the 2004 Ottawa slam champion, and the founder of the 2004 Canadian Spoken Wordolympics, the first ever national slam poetry tournament in Canada. His most recent performances include a feature at the Scream in High Park in Toronto, Tree Reading Series in Ottawa, and Urban Lyric Fest in Montreal.
