Undying Devotion Chapter 15
JC lowered himself, and let Erika slide off of his back, setting her feet down on the porch. They had just been dropped off by the other guys, and were in front of her house. Erika took JC's hand, and pulled him inside. The house was dark, and she nearly tripped over something, but JC steadied her.
"You okay?" he laughed.
"Shut up." she giggled, embarrassed, and reached over to turn on a light.
They walked over to the couch, and sat down. Erika looked into JC's blue eyes, and quietly gazed into them. He stroked her cheek, lovingly, with a thoughtful look on his face.
"What's wrong?" Erika asked him.
He blinked, then told her, "Nothing, I'm just thinking."
"About what?" she wondered.
"Um, nothing. Don't worry, it's not bad, I'm just trying to figure some things about. Don't worry about it right now, though, okay?" he begged."
Mmm. Okay." she agreed reluctantly, still searching his eyes for some clue.
"I swear, it's not bad at all. But anyways, do you think I could come over tomorrow, and cook you dinner?" he asked her.
"Sure you can, if you want. I'd like that." she told him.
"Well, I'm gonna come over before you get off then, so it's ready when you get home. Alright?" he asked.
Erika smiled, and nodded at him. Josh was such a sweet, romantic person, she
couldn't imagine there being a man who she felt more complete with. He actually WANTED to do little things for her, like cook her dinner. All of a sudden, Erika felt compelled to kiss him. Leaning over, she softly pressed her lips to his, and they began to kiss. It amazed her, how although they'd been together for 2
YEARS, every kiss felt like the first. She never got tired of kissing him. They kissed softly, but slowly the kiss grew more passionate. JC slid his hands
down to her jacket, unzipping it, and pulling it off. He then started to unbutton her shirt, as she pushed him down further onto the couch. Suddenly, he
stopped.
"What's wrong?" Erika whispered.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't do this, you're not ready, and I know you're saving yourself for the right time, and the right person. I don't want to screw that up." he
told her softly, pulling himself back up.
She looked at him lovingly. "Baby, I love you. But if you don't want to right now, then we don't have to."
He smiled at her, and said, "You KNOW I'd LIKE to, but I feel like I'm taking advantage of you."
The care he took to make sure of her happiness sent warmth throughout Erika's body. She kissed him again, and they talked quietly for a while. Finally, JC had to go home, so they hugged, and Erika watched him walk to his jeep.
He turned, and told her he loved her, before getting in.
"I love you too." she answered.
Erika picked up the phone, and dialed her number. It was 5:45, and she knew JC was waiting for her, at her house, with dinner.
"Hello?" he said, in that sweet voice.
"JC, I'm sorry, but I won't be home until around 7:00, things were busy today, and we're still finishing up."
"That's FINE!" he replied, a little too cheerfully.
"Why are you so happy to hear that I'll be late?" she teased him. "I didn't mean it like that. I'm just not quite ready for you to get here, anyway." he laughed.
"Okay, well, I'll see you in a while. Love ya."
"I love you more." JC said.
"Doubt it, but bye!" she told him, hanging up.
