A Battle with Death Chapter 1
The five men all stood in awe at what they actually saw. None of them knew how they should feel at that moment. There were so many children in there, and so many different ages. The youngest was about 2 years old and the oldest was about 23 or so. So many children, so many diseases.
A woman of about 19 or so came over to the five awe-struck men. She has the most amazing blond hair. It was a darker than normal color, but with natural lighter streaks. Justin was the first over to her. It was then that he noticed her amazing blue eyes. They looked a little weird, but hey ...she was in the hospital, right?
"Hello, my name is Rie Salomonsen. You must be Lance" she said, wheeling herself over to Lance, completely ignoring Justin.
"Rie will you get your fat ass over here!" Desaraie yelled to the older girl.
"Just shut your skinny ass up, and come get me!" Rie yelled back laughing. Thus started out a race around the 'Rump Room' until one of the nurses in charged stopped it all.
"Sorry, welcome to what we call the Rump Room. I am Nancy, the evil one in charge today. You must be ..."
"Sorry, I'm Justin. This is Lance, Josh, Joey, and Chris." Justin said extending his hand.
"If you will follow me I will show you to where you can get ready, and where you will be entertaining. I have to go get one of the girls ready to come out and see you." Nancy said walking away from the men, and too a different area, before walking away completely.
The five of the guys got themselves all ready, and prepared for what they were up against. None really talked to the other, or too any of the children there to start with. They were all so sick, but yet so happy at the same time. Lance had no idea what to do. He loved kids, and it didn't matter to him if they were sick or healthy, but one girl did catch his eye.
She looked so sick, and so sad to be there. She was sitting in a wheelchair, wearing a mask, and has machines all around her. None of the other kids would come up and talk to her. There was just one, Rie he thought was her name, talking to her. But she soon took off and went to be with the other girl in the wheelchair, chasing her around. He made a mental note to go over and talk to her after they were done singing.
The guys sang four different songs. God Must Have Spent, Together Again, Digital Get Down, and POP. Everyone seemed to love it, Lance even noticed that the one girl even smiled a few times during their performance. Once they were done, they stepped back to get some water, and Nancy came up to talk.
"Ok everyone, I hope you enjoyed that little surprise. Now the guys will sit down and talk with you all for a little while, but remember, it is nap time soon, and you all need to rest."
