| Chapter 13 � 10:58pm July 9th (Crystal�s POV) I stood in the shower washing off my enormous belly. Lance came into the bathroom and got into the shower with me. He rubbed my belly and got down his hands and knees and kissed my belly. I washed his hair and we got out and went into bed. �I�m so sick of this huge belly,� I said rubbing it. �I just want the baby already, it�s been to long.� �I know,� Lance said. �You have to be patient the baby is on its way.� I curled up in bed next to Lance and soon we were watching Unsolved Mysteries on TV. �That looks like Scott,� Lance said pointing to the guy on TV. I wasn�t paying attention. I was kissing Lance�s bare chest. �Crystal,� Lance said. �Will you stop, you know that we can�t do this right now. What about the baby?� �I know,� I said. �I just want you to squirm.� �Well,� Lance said. �It�s working like a charm.� �If you have any information on this man,� The man who hosted the show said. �Please contact your local police department before he molests your little child.� �Crystal,� Lance said. �Rewind the tape.� I rewound the tape and it stopped and began to play. I felt weird and then I was sitting in a pool of water. �Lance,� I said smiling at him. �We�re going to have a baby tonight. My water just broke.� �You mean,� Lance started as he jumped out of bed and called Chris and Chrissy. I had arranged it so that Joey would come and stay with Stephanie. (Justin�s POV) �Dude,� I said to Chris, Chrissy and Alicia who stood in front of me. �Shouldn�t she have had that baby by now?� It was 8:40pm on July 10th. �I thought so too,� Chris said rubbing his tired eyes. �I want to go home. I have been here way too long!� �Go on home,� Lance said. He came out in the hallway with scrubs on. �She is moving slow. They are thinking about letting us go home for a few hours.� �Lance,� The doctor asked as he walked out into the hall. �You can go home until the contractions are about 8 minutes apart. Then come right back in.� �Okay,� Lance said. �Here.� Lance took his scrubs off and handed them back to Dr. Poplins. �See you later,� Crystal said to him as she walked out of the delivery room. �I will be back.� �See you then,� Dr. Poplins said. �Stay comfortable and try to get some sleep. Those contractions will wake you up when the baby is ready to come out.� (Joey�s POV) I was curled up on the couch waiting to hear something from the guys at the hospital. It was 9:12pm on July 10th. Crystal went into labor almost 24 hours ago. I was shocked and scared for her and the baby. What if something had happened? �Uncle Joey,� Stephanie said as her and Danielle walked up to me on the couch. �Read this book, please.� Stephanie sat on my left leg and Danielle on my right. I opened the book called �For Every Dog an Angel� by Christine Davis. The book was so sad that I had begun to cry. Chrissy had bought the book for Crystal when her doggy died back when she was 15, not so long ago. I remembered the doggy that I had when I was about 15 too. It was a little white poodle type thing. I never knew the proper name. Her name was snuggles. She was about 4 years old that winter. I had gone outside to play in the snow. My mom had to go to work and she didn�t see Snuggles behind the car. I didn�t even know that Snuggles wasn�t around until I walked over to the front door and called for her. I looked around and noticed a huge red area with a carcass in the driveway. I was never so hurt, never so sad. �Joey,� Crystal said as she walked back in the door still pregnant. �Are you okay? What�s wrong?� I held up the book that I had read the girls. �What are doing here,� I asked. �You still have that belly, and no baby for me to hold.� �I�m moving along very slow,� Crystal said as she walked over to me and gave me a hug. �I want you and Nicole to stay here though. I have to go back into the hospital when the contractions get about 8 minutes apart.� �Okay,� I said smiling. �Nicole and I won�t mind staying here. I like it here with the girls.� (Chrissy�s POV) I got out of the car and walked up the front steps to Crystal�s house. Lance had offered everybody to stay at the house. �Hey everybody,� I said. �Where is my babies?� �Mommy,� Danielle said as she ran up to me and gave me a hug. �I missed you mom.� �I missed you too,� I said. �Where is your brother?� �He is sleeping upstairs,� Joey said. �He fell asleep a few minutes ago. He is so cute.� �Crystal,� Chris asked. �What do you want?� �I want a healthy baby,� Crystal said. �I don�t care what it is.� �I want a boy,� Lance said. �I want a little boy.� �What are thinking of the names,� JC asked. �I want to know.� �If it�s a boy,� Lance started. �Zachary Brian.� �And a girl,� Crystal said. �Alyssa Christine.� �I hope it�s a boy,� JC said. �I want another nephew.� |
