| Chapter 11 � 1:49am May 16th (Chris�s POV) I woke up to a wet cold feeling in the bed next to me. �Chris,� Chrissy said. �I think my water broke. Honey, it�s baby time.� I got up quickly and began to dress myself. Chrissy got up and went into the shower with some clothes in her hand. I put my shorts on and my tee shirt that Lance had given me for my birthday. I rushed into the bathroom and peeled open the shower curtain. Chrissy was taking a shower before we left. �What are you doing,� Chrissy asked. �I have to take a shower.� �Honey,� I asked. �What do I do?� �Call the doctor and then Crystal,� Chrissy said. �I am going to finish up here and I will get ready then we can go.� I ran back out into the bedroom and threw Chrissy�s suitcase down the stairs to the front door. I grabbed the phone and called the doctor. I told him that we were on our way and I hung up. I called Crystal. �Hello,� Crystal asked. �Crystal,� I said shaking. �It�s Chris, Chrissy is finally in labor!� �Oh,� Crystal said. �It�s about time! I will meet you at the hospital.� �Okay,� I said. �See you there.� I hung up the phone and Chrissy came out of the bathroom with a baby blue shirt on and a pair of overalls. �Let�s go have a baby,� Chrissy said smiling. We walked down the stairs. �Danielle,� I said running back up stairs. �Come on baby!� We ran downstairs into the car where Chrissy was waiting patently. I buckled Danielle in and we drove away. I couldn�t stop shaking and sweating. I had done this once before but this time it was different! (Lance�s POV) Crystal and I sat in the waiting room. Chris and Chrissy were late for their own child�s birth. I couldn�t believe it. In less then 2 months Crystal would be due and we would all be waiting for her to deliver the little bundle of pride and joy. Chris came running through the door with Danielle in his hands. He looked frantically around for Crystal or me. �Chris,� Crystal said. I wat5ched as she ran over to him in her blue jeans and a white maternity tee shirt. �Where is Chrissy?� Chrissy waddled through the first door crying. She stood in between the hospital and the outside world screaming. �Oh my,� Chris said as he handed me Danielle. �Honey, I�m sorry.� �I just had a contraction,� Chrissy cried out in pain. �Here comes another one.� I gave Chrissy a hug and held her hand while another contraction passed. I gave Chris a hug and sat down next to Crystal again. �Honey,� I said as I gave Crystal a kiss. �I am going to go home and stay with the girls. Please call me if anything happens.� �Okay,� Crystal said as she gave me a kiss. �I will call. Be back here in the morning by 7. My mom will watch the kids.� I gave Crystal another kiss. It lasted for about 3 minutes. �How do you breathe,� Justin asked. �Hey Crystal, can I try?� �Don�t even think about it,� I said. �I will come after you.� I walked out of the hospital and walked back in. �Don�t miss me,� Crystal said. �I already do,� I said. (Joey�s POV) Nicole and I sat in the waiting room waiting for anything to happen. Nicole laid her head against my chest and closed her brown eyes. I kissed her forehead and thanked God that I had her in my life. She was so good to me. I wanted her to be with me forever and ever. I was so afraid of her leaving me. |
