| (Chrissy�s POV) The pain was too intense to handle any longer. I cried as I breathed in and out one more time. �One more,� Dr. Ferndale said. �One more push. This is it.� I looked at the clock that hung on the wall. I couldn�t see the numbers through the tears and sweat. I grabbed Chris�s hand and brought him up to my face. He put his hand behind my pillow and brought my chin up to my chest. I held my breath and pushed with everything I had left. The pain I had was so intense. I didn�t even know that the head came out. I kept pushing with short breaths. The next thing I knew I had a baby at the foot of the bed. Chris started crying and jumping up and down, screaming like a girl. I felt relieved and better now that the hard part was over. Chris was down at the foot of the bed. He had the weirdest look on his face while looking at me. �Chris,� I asked. �That is gross,� Chris said. �I actually�� �Yes,� I said smiling waiting to hear the baby cry. �Why isn�t the baby crying? Chris?� �Nurse,� The doctor said. �Get over here, it isn�t breathing.� Chris looked at me in sheer terror. His eyes losing the glow they had previously been taunted with. JC poked his head in the room and started cussing at the doctor. I watched as a security guard pulled him back to his seat in the hall. �Time of birth,� The doctor said as he looked up at the clock that seemed blurry. �4:59am.� �Time of death,� I asked fighting back the tears that sat in place waiting to spill forth. �I don�t know,� Doctor Ferndale said. �He hasn�t died yet.� (JC�s POV) I was so angry that the dumb doctors couldn�t do anything to help the poor baby. I felt so helpless and empty. I knew that nothing could pacify this feeling that was eating away at the lining of my empty stomach. �OH MY GOD,� Chris screamed as he started crying again. He slid out of the delivery door almost running into a nurse that walked down the hall with a tray of urine on it. �That was pee.� �CHRIS,� I bellowed. �WHAT HAPPENED IN THERE?� �Oh,� Chris said. �I have a healthy baby�� (Crystal� POV) �I�m going to have a little nephew running around the house now,� I said hugging Chris. �I�m so happy for you guys.� �Come see Chrissy,� Chris said pulling just me into the delivery room. �WHOA,� I screamed. �Don�t ya think you should close shop?� �CHRIS,� Chrissy shrieked seeing me come in. �She doesn�t want to see that, I don�t want her to see that. NASTY!� I went straight up to Chrissy�s head looking in the other direction while moving up to the top of the bed. I wiped her sweat away from her forehead. �You did it again,� I said. �Next is my turn. I am so nervous. After hearing you scream like that.� �Awww,� Chrissy said looking at me. �It�s nothing!� �Yeah,� I said. �Danielle is so anxious to see her brother.� �I will be in my own room later,� Chrissy said. �Bring her in after lunch. I need some major sleep!� �See you later,� I said. �Bye bye bye.� I walked out of the room and around the corner to where Joey, Nicole, JC, Amanda, Justin, and Alicia sat. �She�s okay,� I said. �I have to go.� �Why,� JC asked. �Lance need his daily lying?� �No,� I said pretending to laugh. �I need some sleep. I have been up since before you!� �Ouch,� Amanda said. �That was good!� I walked out of the hospital and back home. �Well,� Lance asked as he walked over to me. �Tell me!� |
