| Chapter 10 � 6:09pm May 3rd (Chris�s POV) �SURPRISE,� The bunch screamed. We flipped the lights on to see Lance and Crystal walk into the room. �Happy Birthday!� �Thanks guys,� Lance said. �I can�t believe you did this all for me.� �Crystal did most of it,� JC said. �She is the one who thought of the idea.� I watched as Lance gave Crystal and kiss. I did the same to Chrissy. �Let�s party,� I said. �I want to get down with my bad self!� The party was a lot of fun. Lance turned 22 with all his friends and family. �Chrissy,� I asked. �Tell everybody how the baby is doping inside your belly. I want them to know.� �Chris,� Crystal said. �You�re drunk. Just sit here and have some of this.� I sat down in the chair that I saw first. �Crystal,� I asked. �How many chairs can you have in one area?� (Joey�s POV) I looked around the party. One person caught my eye in particular. It was Scott and Nicole talking. I looked at Nicole. She looked wonderful. I quickly walked up to her and cut in on the conversation. I gave her a huge hug and began to smile. �Hi,� Nicole said. �How are you, Joey?� �Better,� I said. �Better now that I found you and know that you are okay.� �I�m fine,� Nicole said. �Excuse me, Scott.� Nicole and I walked outside. We sat down on the lid of the Play School sandbox. She put her hand in mine and our finger intertwined. �Joey,� Nicole started. �I left Steven. I left him.� �What,� I asked shocked. �You left him? Why? What happened? What did he do to you?� �He beat me,� Nicole said crying. �He beat me so bad I was in the hospital for a while. I tied calling you, but everybody said that you were on tour.� �We just finished a tour,� I said hugging her. �I wish that I was here for you. I can�t believe it. Are you okay now?� �I will be fine,� Nicole said looking up at me. The moonlight shone through a dark cloud and it looked as if a blanket of snow were covering the world and everything around it. �Joey, I love you. I want to be with you.� Those 3 words that I waited o long to hear finally came out in a glorified way. I kissed Nicole and realized that everybody had always been right, you have to wait for the miracle to happen. �I love you too,� I said. �I love you so much and I am so happy that you love me too.� �I do,� Nicole said. She wiped away a tear and gave me another kiss. �I finally realize it.� (Chrissy�s POV) I sat on the couch with Danielle sleeping next to me. She still had all those bruise�s on her body. They began to get worse and worse as time went on. I sat there with a million and a half things running through my mind. Stephanie and Danielle�s birthday�s just passed Stephanie now 3 and Danielle now 4. I found it odd that after all this time, Scott still had Jessica. He was supposed to have had her until January and now it�s May and he still has her. I looked over at him and Jessica on the steps. �Jessica, it�s play time,� Scott said as he grabbed her arm and began pulling her out the door. �You know you want to play with daddy.� He was being a little rough with the way he handled things. He was her father. He shouldn�t have been treating her like that. His words �play time� kept ringing through my head. I had no idea why, but it just seemed all too familiar. �Chrissy,� Crystal said. �I have to talk to you about something later.� �Okay,� I said looking at her. Both her and I were due soon. I was due yesterday, but ready to go anytime. I hoped that I didn�t have the baby on Lance�s birthday, which would be weird. Crystal due on July 11th. I felt the baby kick and smiled knowing that soon I would be holding the baby in my arms feeding it and holding it and watching as Danielle played with it. Chris was now sober and he came up to me with a grin on his face. I couldn�t figure out what he could be smiling at. �Let�s go home,� I said. �I really don�t feel good and want to get some sleep. I am so tired.� 2 hours later�(10:45pm) �Chrissy, how are you feeling after that shower,� Chris asked. �I hope you feel better, babe.� �I feel a little better,� I said. �I want to go t sleep though.� �Goodnight sweetheart,� Chris said. �And good night little one, see you soon.� Chris gave my belly a kiss and then my lips a sweet touch. I rested on him and soon was sleeping. |
