| *~* Flashback *~* Justin sat on the couch and listened to Alyssa upstairs rummaging around in her mother�s closet dressing up. �Here I come daddy,� She said. �Close your eyes.� Justin obeyed and listened to Alyssa high heeled shoes cluck down each step, then over to where he was sitting in the chair. �Open,� Alyssa instructed. She had on her mom�s dark blue suit with a pair of white pumps and a scarf wrapped around her neck and a diaper bag over her shoulder for a briefcase. �You look so grown up,� Justin commented. �But you are so little.� She reached up and started tickling Justin. �You little devil!� Alyssa laughed and climbed up in her dad�s lap and cuddled up to him, smiling. �Ya, now you�re an angel,� Justin laughed. �Where�s mommy,� Alyssa asked. �It�s starting to snow harder. I want to see my mommy.� �I want to see her too,� Justin said. �Why don�t you go put back mommy�s clothes and we can wait for her while we watch a movie.� �Okay,� Alyssa ran upstairs. Justin watched and knew that the disease taking over his daughter would take control completely very soon. The doctors gave her no longer then a few months. And when she taught me how to care, I never cared so much. She could hear Alyssa crying from in her bed. �Honey, what�s wrong,� Crystal asked pushing her hair aside and wiping the tears away with her thumb. �Alyssa� Alyssa, honey are you awake?� �What�s wrong,� Justin asked stumbling into the room and flipping the light on. �What�s wrong with Alyssa?� Crystal looked down and could see her eyes rolled back in her head and she was sweating profusely. �I�m going to call the doctor,� Justin said running out of the room down the hall. �It�s okay, it�s okay, she can get through this!� Crystal told herself. �God, please help my baby girl!� She put Alyssa in a blanket and rushed down the stairs. �The doctor is going to meet us at the hospital,� Justin said holding 2 pairs of jeans and 2 tee shirts. �Let�s go.� Justin shut the door behind himself and Crystal climbed into the back seat of Justin�s blue BMW. Justin jumped into the drivers seat and they peeled out of the driveway no more then 5 minutes after they were woken up. |
