PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN KUALA LUMPUR

   

Within KL city centre there are five major bus hubs: KL Sentral, KLCC, Maluri, Titiwangsa and Pudu Sentral. These bus hubs are usually located near public transit stations such as Kelana Jaya Line transit stations.




Taxis in Kuala Lumpur There are two types of taxis in Malaysia : local and long-distance.

The former are usually red-and-white or yellow-and-blue and are metered taxis that can be hailed throughout the city.


  • KL Monorail

The KL Monorail is a pretty simple and well-connected train system network, running between the city’s premier transport hub, KL Sentral, and Titiwangsa in the heart of KL.

Operating between 06:00 and 00:00, KL monorail trains arrive once every five minutes during peak travelling hours, and the wait during off-peak hours can take up to 12 minutes.

The fares for monorail service start at RM1.20 for one stop and tokens can be purchased at specialised machines dispensing blue plastic coin-like tokens at the entrance of each station, before boarding the train.
