| Certamen Rethoricae Provincial Rethorics Contest Our illustrous fellow citizen Ianus Minicius Sparsus has proposed to the Curia Hispanica the celebration of a provincial level certamen rethoricae. After the Curia's approval, the celebration of such an important event is being prepared. The rules of the contest can be viewed here. Nuntia Provincialia New Propraetor in Hispania (a.d. XV Kal. Sex. MMDCCLIV) The Senate of our Res Publica has appointed our illustrious fellow citizenl Marcus Salix Vigilius Propraetor of our Provincia. This appointment has been very welcome by the citizens of Hispania, who had been supporting Vigilius' candidature for several months. A New Provincial Regula has been Issued (a.d. IV Kal. Sex. anni MMDCCLIV a.U.C.) Propraetor Vigilius has issued his first edictum, in which the guvernamental branches that will rule the province during his tenure are specified. This regula is a result of dealings and agreements between all the citizens of Hispania, and all of them wish this legislation a long life. Appointment of the Consilium Propraetoris (a.d. XV Kal. Oct. anni MMDCCLIV a.U.C.) The Propraetor, after the deliberations held in the Curia, has appointed a new provincial government. Besides, the Curia has approved its own standing orders. First Provincial Meeting (a.d. IV Id. Oct. anni MMDCCLIV a.U.C.) Today, the first provincial meeting between citizens of the Hispania Provincia of Nova Roma has been held in Madrid. Gnaeus Salix Galaicus, Marcus Didius Geminus Sceptius, Marcus Adrianus Sarus, Lucius Minicius Laietanus and Gnaeus Salix Astur attended the meeting, as well as several outsiders. Those who attended agreed in that the meeting was a complete success. Future meetings are being planned for the next months. |
