MY TRAVELS IN AMERICA!
In the summer of 2000, me, Mike and his mate Dave (yes I know its confusing-I know too many Daves!) trotted off to the USA. With a Greyhound Pass that allowed us to travel on the coaches anywhere across America for 30 days, we set off on the best holiday of my life. Starting in New York, then a 3 day trip across America to San Francisco, up to vancouver in Canada, back down to Seattle, back across America for another 3 days to Boston, down to Washington DC and fianlly back up to New York for the final day before we flew home! It was certainly an experience and a half...and an expensive one at that (i'm still paying ot off now!)
Anyway, here's myself and Mike in Times Sqaure New York. Yes, I know. We really do look like tourists. But as soon as we got to the city (My favourite of them all) it was like '
Take out your camera! There's another skyscraper!!! '
Here's the three of us and Lady Liberty herself as we took a ferry from manhattan New York to Liberty Island. Believe it or not, she's smaller than you think. (Notice we're all smiling-the holiday was fantastic, but by the end of the month travelling together, we were glad to see the back of each other!)  With us being only in our seocnd day, there was so much more yet to see...
Myself and Dave on Liberty Island with the fantastic New Skyline behind us. Manhattan itself was amazing, there's no where else like it.
Kind of creepy though, looking at this picture. This was taken just over a year before the Twin Towers (top centre of the photo) were destroyed.
After travelling across America and back, we ended up in Boston. Another amazing city. And of course, me being me, couldn't resist not having my photo taken next to the Cheers sign.  I always wanted to be on television...and then of course, I remembered they stopped making the series years ago...
One of the best things about this holiday was not the sites and cities, even the many people we met on our travels. When I was in Seattle, I met up with my Dad's cousin Pam who I had never met before. Getting a chance to see new relations I had never met was a great bonus to a fanatastic holiday.
