Greg Dixon is currently working towards a doctorate in composition at University of North Texas and works as a graduate assistant for CEMI. He received his Bachelor's degree in Music Engineering Technology and Master's degree in Music Composition from Ball State University. His composition teachers include Jon Christopher Nelson, Cindy McTee, Andrew May, and David Bithell. His electroacoustic music has been performed recently at Threshold: Fall 2004 and Spring 2005, Electronic Music Midwest 2005 & 2006, and Electric LaTex 07'.

Greg Dixon was born in Charlotte, NC on Oct. 24, 1980. He grew up in West Lafayette, IN and started playing violin at the age of 7. Greg played in the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra while he was in high school. He earned a bachelor's degree in Music Engineering Technology in 2003. He returned to Ball State to complete a Master's degree in composition in 2005. At Ball State, Greg studied composition with Jody Nagel, Michael Pounds, Keith Kothman, David Foley, Eleanor Trawick, and Cleve Scott. Greg is currently working towards a doctorate in composition at University of North Texas and works as a graduate assistant for the Center for Experimental Music and Intermedia. His composition instructors at UNT include Jon Christopher Nelson, Cindy McTee, Andrew May, and David Bithell. His electroacoustic music has been performed recently at UNT's Centerpieces, at Ball State University's EM concert series, Threshold: Fall 2004 and Spring 2005, DISCUS 2005, Electronic Music Midwest 2005 & 2006, and Electric LaTex 07'.
