| Welcome to NOVAMOG! Established in 1998, we are a group of approximately 50 Merkur owners located in the mid-Atlantic states. Most NOVAMOG members belong to The Merkur Club of America (www.merkurclub.com). We don't have a ridgid organization with elected officals or dues. We just like to meet at least on a quarterly basis although we sometimes call a meet whenever the mood strikes, including - informal get-togethers to drink coffee - technical clinics - fun rides - participation in area car shows. A first timer at one of our meets can normally expect to find us butts and elbows under the hoods or our Merkurs (XR and Scorpios). Check our schedule of upcoming meets and make it if you can because that's what we are all about! Most of our meets are held in the northern Virginia area but we try to be diversified and meets will often be held in Winchester, VA, and as far south as Richmond, VA. One of the highlights of our calendar is to attend the All-Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA. We usually coordinate the I-81 Convoy to Carlisle which oiginates in the NoVA area and stops at Wichester, VA to meet with others on I-81 from the south and west heading for the big show at Carlisle. Last year we had over 20 Merkurs in the convoy and we met up with over 120 Merkurs on the showfield at Carlisle. The event is normally scheduled for the first week in June each year. |
