Hot 'n' Spicy Turkey Burgers submitted by ansondale
Sauce:
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worchestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Burgers:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/3 cup quick-cooking oats
- 4 large hamburger buns, sliced
1. Sauce: In a small bowl, combine ketchup, vinegar, Worchestershire sauce, garlic, red pepper flakes, hot pepper sauce and pepper. Set aside.
2. Burgers: In a large bowl, combine turkey and oats. Add half the sauce; mix thouroughly. Form into 4 large patties.
3. Barbeque on greased grill or broil 6 " from heat for 5-7 minutes per side. Brush with remaining sauce after burgers have been turned.
