  Why not answer it now?

   Well, what if it's her?

So? If it is, and you like her as much as you do, you shouldn't have any problem answering the phone. For Christ's sake, you two dated for how long and you are still afriad to talk to her? That's just sad!

I'm not afraid to talk to her, I am just trying to find the words that could get her back.

How about you answer the phone first before whoever it is hangs up, then figure the rest out later.

Okay, here I go... Trust me... This wasn't the end of us... I know it wasn't... After this phone call, she will be mine again... Okay?

                                                    (Picks up phone)

   Hello?

Hi, is your mother there please?

   Yeah, hold on a second.

                                                (Hands phone to his mom)

Wow, you were right, she really is yours after that phone call.

Shut up, just shut up! You thought it could have been her too.

Yeah, but I wasn't the one nearly pissing my fucking pants worrying over the god damn phone rining. Listen, if you think you two should be together, and you honnestly feel it was meant to be, pick up the phone and call her. Tell her everything you have told me, and you know you have said everything and you can't do any more than that. Now, call her!

Okay, I will. I can do it, just you watch...

The End
Sometimes the hardest thing to convince of something is your heart. When something comes to an end, your heart can be the last thing you ever convince that it really happened. Sometimes the idea that some things are meant to be helps your heart keep hope in times of darkness, but at other times, it can just lead to senseless dwelling.

The choice is yours whether you believe in fate or not. But, keep in mind, the idea of fate also doesn't mean that what was meant to be was necessarily a good thing. Some times the things that were meant to be aren't in your favour.

The Above piece of writing was interior monologue that I wrote based on the concept of fate and trying to convince your heart some things just go away for good sometimes.
