This story is the third part of what has become a trilogy. You don't have to read the first two books in the series for the following story to make sense, but some of you may want to, which is what this disclaimer is for. (It didn't seem fair not to warn people.)

There's a short section of expository information, but I would strongly encourage you to begin reading the story before you decide whether or not to refer to it. (After a few chapters, the need for a section of background information will probably be irrelvant. . . everything in it will have been incorporated into the story.)
