This museum was opened in 1988. In the first place it shows you collections of art that are from non - European cultures but also deals with everyday life, religion, magic and society of the various cultures. There are collections from all over Africa, Melanesia, Polynesia and New Zealand on the groundfloor. On the first floor the Indonesian section and a small but impresive  section of Pre - Columbian America with objects from Mexico, Peru and Columbia. The second floor is entirely devoted to Asia, mainly about religion. And on the third floor you'll find Asian porcelain, textiles, weapons etc...
