It's Not Gonna Go That Way (which, as of today, is now called "Stayin' Strong") is up on Garageband.com. The recording process drags on with no end in sight. We are playing a show (read "party") on October 18th. You can find directions on the shows page. It's a four dollar keg, so get drunk and mosh.

Bloody Fingers is up on Garageband.com now, so go to the sounds page and click on the link to hear it. I'm going to wait for all of the songs to be completely finished to worry about mp3.com, so that will still be a while. We have six songs done, though there's still some things to work out on a couple of those six. Progress is slowly being made, though. Hopefully it will be done in another couple of weeks.

Wow.. almost four months between updates... apathy kicks ass! Anyways, in that time period we played a show that I didn't bother putting on the webpage, but mainly we've been doing... nothing. Although... believe it or not, we have been recording. Yes.. it seems like we've been trying to get this fucking recording done since we started it...
...
Yes.. we've been trying to get this thing done for three or four months now.. it's kinda a blur.. a big, shitty blur. For as long as it's taking, you'd think that it would sound pretty kick ass, but this is us we're talking about.. and even though we started it three or four months ago doesn't mean that we've actually been in the studio that much, because we haven't. Two of the times we actually did have all four members together and ready to record we got the cops called on us.. I guess that's what happens when you record at 1:00 a.m.. Anyway.. that's all being said, it's actually almost done.. just one more crappy vocal track, then the mixing process begins. That'll be our biggest challenge.. trying to make ourselves sound halfway decent. Whenever that's done, I'll put some of the songs up on MP3.com and Garageband.com (it's back up). One last thing... fuck off.. I'm done for today.

Hello, you bastards. Well.. we finally played a show in our area.. and we actually had fun. Not that many people there, but who cares? It was fun anyway, even with Mike's amp dying halfway through the set, and then the vocals disappearing several songs later. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us suck.. it was a good show thanks to M.I.A. and Motor City Mystery. If you've been paying attention, you may notice that there are no shows listed on the shows page. That's because we cancelled them. With Mike's amp problem and the recording coming up (I'll talk about that in a sec) we've decided to stick to playing shows in Illinois for awhile.. so I guess we'll have to get some, huh? Now.. the recording. This one may actually happen, folks. We are scheduled to record with Suit and Tie Guy on June 3rd and 4th. If it happens, it will be our non-offiicial first album and will probably have 17 or 18 tracks on it. I'll probably put three of the tracks up on MP3.com when it's done. Until then..

Hello, you bastards. I finalized the information for the May 10th show, so go to the shows page, then go to the show.

Hello, you bastards. Well, it finally happened.. we got a show in our own state. On May 10th, we will be playing in East Peoria. There is some information about it on the shows page, which I will update when I have all the details. Still trying to record. Still not recording. If you're reading this, go to our shows and give us money so we can record. Or just send us money.. either way is good for us.

I'm finishing up changing the webpage over to THE dfx, and I have made one slight change. I have taken down the links to our MP3s. I will put them back up when we have new, better sounding versions of the songs recorded, which will be in about.. oh.. never.

As you may or may not have noticed, the name of the band has changed. Due to Tim getting happily divorced, he no longer feels like a victim, therefore we are now THE dfx (pronounced the defects). We have had no luck with the recording as of yet (big surprise) but are still trying to get something done. We may actually be playing a show in this state sometime in the not too distant future, but as luck would have it, we'll be missing our bass player on that particular evening. We plan to play it anyway, but that's just because we're gonna suck no matter what.

These updates just seem to get farther and farther apart, don't they? Still not a whole hell of alot to say, but I figured since I have to update the shows and pics pages, I might as well put something here too.. just to keep up the illusion that we're actually doing something. You remember when I said that we were going to try to record a new, better sounding five song demo? Guess what? It didn't happen. Big surprise, I know. However, now we are going to try to get our first "album" recorded. It won't be professionally pressed or anything, but it should be pretty good sound quality. At least I hope it will be. Also, Garageband.com may be going down for good, so if the links disappear, you'll know that it is, indeed, dead.

Hmm.. I don't really have anything to say, but I updated a couple of parts of the page so I figured I'd put something here. Mike is in the band again for sure.. yay. If you for some reason have been looking at the shows page on a somewhat regular basis, you should have noticed that Luckey's Playhouse has changed their name. Tazzma's ROCK-O-RAMA! is the new name, so make note of it. We're going to try to record a new, better sounding five song demo soon, and if that happens, I'll be taking down all the songs currently on mp3.com and replacing them with the five new ones. Well.. they're not really new, but you know what I'm talking about, don't ya? I'm going to stop typing now.

Well.. we played our first show, which was cool because there was a midget rockin' out to the bands. The first band that played, Citizen's Arrest, kicked much ass. I think Tim has the address to their website, so when I get it, I'll put a link to it up. Luckey's Playhouse was actually a rather cool venue. Not alot of people there, but it wasn't a shithole like some places I've played. Tim gave them the fucked up crash cymbal (autographed even) so they could hang it on the wall.. pretty cool. Mike may actually be in the band again.. he's showed up to the last couple of practices, so we'll see. We took some pictures of the show to put in the pics section, so check 'em out. The quality of the pictures kinda sucks, but they wouldn't belong on this page if they didn't, now would they? No pictures of Mike yet, but we'll get around to it. I think that's about all there is to say for the moment, so...

We're finally approved at MP3.com, so get yer asses to the sounds page and click the link. I think that's all I have to say.
