Donna Byrne - Director
|
Donna was playwright of the well-received play, The Garden. A theatre and film actor, Donna is thrilled to be directing once again. She co-directed and produced the reading of David Fennario's Joe Beef last summer. She also performed in radio plays at CKUT and CINQ with her own BYRNE "N" FOX productions. Her most recent film work, entitled
Guilt, in which she played a murderous Latvian maid, can be seen on the ZED web site. If that doesn't give you the shivers, perhaps her role in The Smell of the Kill (where she and a couple of girlfriends agree to leave their husbands in a meat locker to freeze...with rabbit attachments and all...) will. In the controversial movie The Reagans, Donna had the opportunity to play Rosalynn Carter; it was a revealing experience but it was great fun! Continuously sharpening her acting skills, Donna has trained with truly dedicated Mentors including Bob Verniks, Gordon McCall, and Sam Chwat. This is Donna's first Fringe experience. "I am proud to be working with such a talented cast/crew in Not A Fairy Tale. Born in Montreal but mostly growing up in beautiful Cape Breton. Nova Scotia, Donna returns periodicaly to the picturesque haven where she can apply her love of photography.
