3 GUINEA PIG SHEDS STAND EMPTY AT NEWCHURCH!
Last May Carol Heathcote who had worked in the sheds at Ivy Bank for over 30 years left. The results of her departure, rising security costs and further staff resignations can now be seen at the Ivy Bank sheds- the 3 guinea pig sheds stand empty!
During last weeks excellent WEEK OF COMPASSION activists inspected the sheds and found them scrubbed down and EMPTY after being the site of suffering for over 3 decades. They said, 'We were able to wander right round the farm and the sheds, which were all locked, but contained no guinea pigs at all. We also got video footage of the empty.. yes empty guinea pig bays through windows in the sheds! This is a sure sign that the campaign is crushing the Halls barbaric business!'
A spokesperson for SNGP continued, 'The empty sheds are a direct result of activists efforts to close down this hell hole. We will continue to campaign even harder now, knowing we can and will end all the guinea pig abuse at Newchurch! However, victory is still not ours while there are still thousands of guinea pigs suffering in the sheds at Darley Oaks and the Oaklands SPF unit. The campaign will NEVER STOP until every single shed at Newchurch is empty! NOW IS THE TIME to push harder and to take ACTION! The Halls know the animal rights movement means business and will never give up. We must continue to tell them this as often and as loudly as we can FOR THE ANIMALS!
