BLOODSHED & CRUELTY ENTHUSIASTS HOODWINK PEOPLE!

So Prince Charles says that if the Labour Party gets around to banning fox-hunting he might as well go abroad and pursue skiing. What arrogance! This from a man who lives off the fat of the land, has never done a day`s proper work in his life, and, at the prospect of being denied the "pleasure" of watching an animal being torn to pieces alive, throws a tantrum and a sulk like a spoilt child being denied his every whim!  For too long "country-folk" have been protected from the harsh realities of the global economy by the massive subsidies they receive from us townies, but even if fox-hunting were allowed to continue in the daffy-down-dilly world many of these people inhabit, their days of bolstering their life-style off the backs of taxpayers are certain to be numbered. How about trading off fox-hunting against the abolition of all subsidies, if they feel so strongly about "tradition"? History has shown that many "traditions" can be mean, ugly and cruel, and these "guardians of the countryside" are the same people who cared so "passionately" about rural life, that, before it was outlawed, they almost hunted the British otter to the point of extinction. Like I`ve often said, ALL the arguments used in favour of hunting are exactly the same as those used in the Confederate States to justify the retention of slavery.

COUNTRYSIDE ALLIANCE SUCKERS RURAL WORKERS

THE COUNTRYSIDE ALLIANCE originally consisted of the British Field Sports Society. It consists of rural employers: landowners, capitalists who actively exploit & destroy the countryside, jealously guard massive estates they have stolen from the people of the British Isles, turning the latter off the land, throughout the age of the Enclosures, & into the towns to become wage-slaves. These  landowners are the descendants of the sycophants to whom the monarchy awarded the swathes of English, Welsh & Scottish (and Irish) land that was stolen from the ancestors of you & me, the real country folk, or peasantry, which in fact no longer exists. The landowners of the Countryside Alliance retain wage-slaves, of course, to work the land, and, since the crushing of rural discontent in the early nineteenth century, these workers are the most docile in the country and the most subservient to their masters. Now that these masters, the descendants of upstarts, have organised to "protect" their so-called "traditions" against any possible ban on hunting, the rural wage-slaves, as well as a handful of small rural businesses, have been seduced into marching with them as though they had a common interest.
Fox-hunting has in fact nothing to do with hunting for food. You cannot eat a fox. Nor have the other so-called country "sports." They are the activity of those with a symbolic interest in stressing power ~ power over the country, over the land & over the people. Fox-hunting is a symbolic act in the same way that the modern monarchy is a symbol of power. Both symbolically reiterate the imposition upon the British people of the Settlement that, subsequent to the so-called "Glorious Revolution" (so our masters call it) that consolidated the rule of the upstart capitalist  class over the mass of people and inaugurated Great Britain as an exploitative capitalist state based upon the using of the many by the few; the enrichment of the few at the expense of the many.
Fox-hunting and the other rural bloodsports (with badger-baiting & dog-fights originally thrown in to give brutalised workers the feeling of a degree of power) also serve to gratify the ruling class with a display of power over the natural environment, with which they demand the right to do as they wish, no matter how destructive. Modern hunting, far from being the quest for food which hunting was and is for tribal and peasant communities of the past, (try to poach on English land today and see what you get!) is thus solely an _expression of power over people and animals, and over the land that the leading members of the Countryside Alliance retain as stolen property. 
Rural workers supporting the Countryside Alliance are as soppily seduced by their exploiters as are snivelling workers everywhere who support the system which degrades and exploits them. The fact remains, however, that the majority of the British people are opposed to hunting and its cruelties, and the antics of the redcoated thugs of the Countryside Alliance are not going to change that, no matter how many idiots they manage to enlist in their ridiculous staged demonstrations of  degeneracy and of manipulation in the name of privilege.
