Occupation: Other: After Northwood I went to U of M two years. I met Gary just before he was getting out of the Marines. He missed Viet Nam by a few days. We were married 31 years. We adopted Stephen in '69 and, surprise!, birthed Aaron in '77. Gary settled in to Life & Health Insurance career. I went back to school and become a Graphic Designer. I worked for others for about 11 years and completed my degree in '85. In '86 we moved to Frederick and I opened my own business, IronGate Graphics. I dove into it and the community. Sometimes it seemed a lot like high school when I was in a lot of clubs.
Our lives changed in '90-91 when God call us to Himself and we committed our lives to Christ. We became very involved in our church. I closed the business 4 years ago just two weeks before we learned Gary had cancer. We had a good life...
But now I have a whole new life. God takes good care of me. I'm president of Positively Single, an interdenominational Christian singles group, which meets every Friday night. I am also a deacon. Currently, I work as a customer service rep for Adelphia, and sell cable TV and high-speed internet access. I live in an old house in Frederick County where I have a ministry that I call Place of Peace--for individual retreat, temporary housing, and small meetings.
