	The Northview High School Class of 1986 reunion dinner was held Saturday June 16th, 2001 at the Kerman Grotto in Terre Haute, Indiana. There was a social time from 6-7, a catered dinner at 7:00, music and dancing (and lots of reminiscing) until 11:30. We closed the doors at 12:00 and most people were making plans to meet up at other locations.
	The dance floor was decorated with balloon arched entry ways, balloons of silver, maroon, and black, and small lighted trees. The tables were decorated with white glittered table covers and potted flowers. The DJ was rockin on stage and had colored spot lights shining down on the dance floor. He played some music from the 80's as well as requests and newer music. A "memories table" was set up with lots of memorabilia including yearbooks from Northview as well as Brazil, Staunton, and Van Buren.
	Barbara (Brown) Black was the emcee. She welcomed everyone and introduced the reunion committee members. Andy Craig gave a blessing and remembered those in our classed that had passed on. Those class members were: Jack Egner, Misty Hopkins - Newport, Lori Mershon, Tony Rader, and George Williamson.
	Dinner was a wonderful candle lit buffet which included chicken, pork, veggie basket and dip, green beans, potatoes, glazed carrots & rolls. There were many desserts, fruit, and snack foods.

We had 55 classmates, most brought a spouse or a date. It was great to see everyone again, meet their significant other, and find out what has been going on in their lives since high school. There was a lot of hugging, laughing, and even some squealing and crying when classmates saw their old friends. Not everyone ventured out to the dance floor, but those who did had a lot fun. Most of the people were mingling, reminiscing and listening for their name to be called for a door prize.

	Twenty Year Reunion


	Anyone interested in helping with the 20 year reunion, please let us know. The more people we have helping, the more ideas we will have. If you're not interested in helping, but have some suggestions, please let us know as well. We hope to meet once a year until time for the next reunion. Planning the reunion was a lot of work, but it was also a lot of fun! We hope to use what we have learned working on this reunion, to make the next one even better! Please e-mail us with your thoughts (good & bad) about the 15 year reunion. We plan to have a post-reunion meeting soon and will use these comments in preparing for the 20 year reunion.
