Hi! it has been a long time since I have been in touch with some of you. I can't believe it has been almost 15 years since we graduated from high school. It looks like people from our class have spread to all parts of the country, and pursued many different careers. We would like to bring everyone back together for a class reunion this summer. From the people we have talked to, there seems to be a lot of interest in seeing old friends and finding out about what they have been up to since graduation. I don't know if everyone knows that the building we went to high school in was finally torn down. It was a vacant lot for awhile, but is now the new home of the YMCA. The new high school and jr. high are side by side on HWY 340 west of town. |

| The NHS "86" 15 year reunion committee is co-chaired by Michele (Knierim) Neese and Dawn Steiner-Mershon. | The reunion will be held June 16, 2001, at the Kerman Grotto. The Grotto is located just west of Terre Haute on HWY 40 near the Wabash River. There will be a social time beginning at 6:00 and a catered buffet at 7:00. The cost will be $25.00 per person or $45.00 per couple. If you would like to come only for the music/dancing, it is $10.00 a person or $15.00 per couple and will begin around 8:00. The Grotto has a nice dance floor and we will have a DJ playing all the songs we remember from high school as well as today's favorites. Invitations have been printed and sent out. Please respond as soon as possible so we can get an idea how many to plan for. If you do not receive invitation by the end of April please contact Angela Hayes. An information form will be included for a class directory. Please fill out the information you would like printed in the directory and return it even if you do not plan to attend the reunion. The address list the committee has is confidential and will not be published. The directories will be available the evening of the reunion for a nominal fee. I have started a classmate information page from the entries in the guest book. Right now it contains only e-mail address. I made them all links so you can e-mail your friends right from that page. | For those of you that live out of town, or would just like an evening out, the Hampton Inn in Terre Haute near I-70 has reserved a block of rooms and are giving us a group rate of $64.00 per night. They have an indoor pool, exercise room, and continental breakfast. It was the best rate we could get for a nice hotel. I have listed some of the other hotels in the same area and their prices below. The 16th is the final night for the Miss Indiana Pageant which will be held at ISU. The hotels say they do not have a lot of rooms left, so you may want to make your hotel reservations early. The Hampton is holding 20 rooms for us until the third week in May. Tell them your with the NHS "86" reunion. | There will be a family picnic the following day in Brazil. We have rented the "cow palace" next to the playground at Forest Park. The picnic is free of charge, just pack a lunch with everything you will need for your family and join us for some fun. We would love to see everyone's family, even if you can only stay for a little while. |

| I hope having a web page makes it easier to
find out current information about the reunion and former classmates. I am
still learning how to create a web site, so please let me know if you have any
helpful hints or suggestions. I will be updating the site often with reunion
committee meeting minutes and information and replies from classmates as soon as I get
it.
