North Texas Railway is a N-scale model railroad that isn't based on any thing except for my imagination. This site will track my progress in building my railroad on a really low budget.
While I gather some info and pictures for this site you can click on the Rail Pass button up above and visit some other sites about scale railroading. Be sure to bookmark this page and come back any time you like. If you have a Rail Pass you would like for me to post on this site just send me an E-mail with your pass attached. Be sure you give me the address of your page so I can link it to your pass.

Here in Texas two of the main train lines are
Union Pacific and Santa Fe.

These will be the roadnames that I will use for the engines on my layout. I'll also use Southern Pacific with the UP. My layout will have only one yard, so they will all have to share it. My layout will have two separate lines, one for passengers and one for freight. My original layout design wouldn't fit on the board that I am using, so I had to completely change it. You can see the original plan in the layout section. Feel free to use either one as is or just for ideas. I've only got a small budget to work with so I'm going to try and make as much as I can for free or near free. Obviously, I can't make trains or track, so that is where most of my money will be spent. Anything that I make myself I will show and/or tell how I did it. I'll try and update this site to show everything I get or do as often as I can so you can keep checking back to see whats new, (or old, or home-made)!

This is not my layout, it is a video of somebody else's layout.
