| How do you submit it? You will need the following information before your article will be put up: Your name: E-Mail: Residence: Any affiliation with school? Yes or No Copy the above, followed by your news story, to the following address: [email protected] |
| Important Notes to Consider: 1. Absolutely NO articles that have been published by newspapers will be considered. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. 2. NISB is not responsible for any complaints geared toward your article. Hence, your E-mail address will appear on all stories. 3. The removal of this service can happen at any time. 4. Press Releases sent to NISB will be posted on the appropriate forum on the Message Boards. 5. Please keep your stories pertaining to Northern Illinois high school SPORTS, and pertaining to only NISB-Area schools. The school must be located within NISB's borders: ILL 47 to the east, the Wisconsin State Line to the North, the Mississippi River to the West, and anything north of Chillicothe to the South. |
| Here is what this is all about: YOU can submit a news story to NISB regarding Northern Illinois high school sports. It can be a game article, coaching change, record-breaking achievement, etc. The fun part about this is that YOU can write the story and YOU can submit it to NISB and it will be displayed on the site's home page along with the rest of the NISB stories. You can make up your own title, and write the article however YOU want. The only requirement for the article itself is that it be no less than 200 words. This makes a general news story, rather than a news blurb (suitable for message board posting). An example of a submitted news story is at the bottom of this page. Note: For the 2008-09 school year, I will have a lot of difficulty going to events on my own due to my work schedule at Shell and my school schedule. Your help is greatly appreciated. |

| When you submit your article, you agree to have it checked over and proofread for spelling, grammatical and journalism-related errors. Also note that there will be page breaks added to storys that are submitted in one lump paragraph (this makes your story easier to read). E-mail is checked frequently; and before the posting of your story takes place, the edited copy is sent back to you for approval. Stories will not be posted until you have okayed the edit. |
