Although, he wasn't born during the Civil War Era, he became very interested in the history. Particularly, history involving the Civil War Regiments of St. Lawrence County and surrounding areas. He completed much research about the local Civil War Regiments and spent many hours, at the Public Library.
There are many people living, in our community and surrounding communities, who have ancestorial ties to the Civil War. My father's book outlines the history and rosters of the 16TH Regiment Of New York State Volunteers.
