Mission:    NortheastIron is a group of local northeast racers who got together to make amatuer wheel to wheel road racing and time trialing even more exciting and competitve. As current racers and time trialers we wanted a series that allowed teams the freedom to build race cars their way as long as they meet some basic rules like a horsepower to weight ratio. So we formed NortheastIron.  Our mission is tight wheel-wheel racing, time trialing, season points, trophies, contingency, and most of all tons of excitement.  Any make or model production car with any readily available components is eligible to compete.  The ultimate goal of NEI is to have nose-to-tail close competitive racing. To make the NEI schedule exciting it will include sprint races, enduros and time trialing.  Our home tracks include Watkins Glen, Lime Rock Park, Pocono Raceway, Summit Point and the new facility at NJMP.
