THIS RACE IS BACK ON, BUT HAS BEEN SHORTENED TO 15 MILES...   -- View Results From This Race! --    Date: Saturday, March 14th 2009  Location: Bear Notch Road, Bartlett, NH  Class: 6-8 dog, skijor  Distance: 15 miles, Bear Notch Road and back  Awards: Trophies PLUS Prize Pot Luck - each musher entered is asked to bring a prize of any value to donate to the pot. (doesn't have to be expensive)  First place musher gets first pick of the prize table, second musher gets second pick and so on.  If everyone brings something everyone will go home with something.  We hope to have trophies as well. ** Awards will be held at Ben & Jerry's in North Conway Village following the race, free ice cream will be provided, compliments of Greg & Eileen Vitello.  Directions to Ben & Jerry's: (26 Norcross Circle North Conway NH, 03860)  - Start out going EAST on US-302/CRAWFORD NOTCH RD/MAIN ST toward ALBANY RD. Continue to follow US-302. (11.8 miles)  - Turn RIGHT onto NORCROSS CIR.   - End at 26 Norcross Cir North Conway, NH 03860  More Race Info:    ▪ Drivers meeting at 9 AM, race start at 10 AM    ▪ 2 minute intervals between teams  Mandatory Equipment:    ▪ Sled must have a sled bag capable of carrying a dog    ▪ snub line & snow hook    ▪ operating headlamp in sled bag    ▪ fire starter & knife ON person (For more North Country Musher race rules, please read the "Events" page.) * We need volunteers to help start teams *

PRE-ENTRY STRONGLY PREFERRED - Fee $35.  Any entries accepted the day of  the race will have a $5 late fee. Directions: Take Rt 302 W from Conway, or 302 E from Twin Mountain. In Bartlett, take a left (if heading west) or a right (if heading east) onto Albany Road. There's a Deli at the intersection. Go up Albany Road, and there's a left turn into the parking lot where the P-O-P would be placed before you see the closed gate.
