"When you are finished removing the primula," Lobelia Sackville-Baggins instructed, "plant the camellia."
"Yes, ma'am," Sam echoed. His Gaffer said the Sackville-Baggins were harder than old Mr. Bilbo. Not that Sam remembered Mr. Bilbo; he'd vanished for a second time before Sam was a tween.
Lobelia stabbed at a spot on her garden diagram. "Exactly as I drew."
Sam promised to follow her diagram. He couldn't read, but Mrs. Lobelia had explained it enough that he could have planted the bed in his sleep.
"Good," Lobelia moved on to the Gaffer, tending to the snapdragons. "Soon, everything will be perfect."
