It is hard to make up a rating system, but I will try. When I rode these trails, I thought about my ability, the ability of some of my friends, and the abilitly of the "average Joe".

So here it is:
Trail surface

Things that I look for are: sharp rocks, mud, beach sand, overgrown brush, logs, bolders..... The main trails(s), or the ones that are primarily used are my main concern. Some of the most amazing trails can be the most treacherious, but that is open to your own interpretation

Number
1  --  Easy, hard packed, no rocks or other debris on the path. Suspension is not            nessisary

5  --  Meduim, little bit of mud, some rocks to navagate through, the odd root in the way.                Nothing to dangerous, but still a challenge. Front Suspension recomended

10 -- Hard, Lots of stuff to avoid, or go through. You have everything to scare yourself silly.           Everything from dificult water crossings, to old river beds, to mud theat may bring you           to a screaching halt. Full suspension recomended

11+   ---- Extreme -- Full suspension is a must, along with full body armor and nerves of                                      steel. You name it, its likely got it, plus more. You likely will get hurt, and                               probably have a few battle scars to prove it.
Terrain

The trail is what your wheels go over. What you go through and what your bike climbes up or down is the terrain.

Things that I concidered are: width between trees, Number of hills, Steepness of hills, what is along the trails....

1  --  Mostly Double track, able to fit 2 bikes sided by side. Reasonably level, the odd rolling hill. Reasonably dry, even after a downpour.

5  --  Mix of double track, and single track. Not overgrown, but some areas may be narrow because of the wild flowers.

10 -- Lots of single track, tight corners, tight between trees, may follow the ridge line.... dont look down. You might have to find the trail, as it may be overgrown

11+    --- "Where is the trail?" "You want me to climb that?" "And how do we go down?" -- "I was afraid you would say that" Are just aome of the things you would say.... Pain better be your friend, fear better make you bike harder, and you had better have excellent brakes.
Overall Rating

When you are finished the trails what would you think of it....

1   -- Hated it

5   -- Liked it

10 -- Loved it

11+  -- I now live next to it
