Deputy Rex
The Pictorial History
This is the Boone County, Arkansas "K-9"
This picture was also taken January 21, 2000. Notice the dog leaning away from Mike Henderson which is not typical of a Malinois, who usually leans INTO their person!!!
The newspaper caption for this picture, taken January 21, 2000, reads: "Deputy Mike Henderson and Rex demonstrate the dog's training in sniffing out drugs."
This picture was taken October 6, 2000 for the Harrison Daily Times and appeared on Emmy McConnery's website and her original caption for it read: "Officers doing a public relations demonstration in the US with a Baden Malinois." However, when we asked her about this she got very hostile and quickly changed the caption to read "Officers doing a public relations demonstration in the US with a Belgian Malinois." She also accused us of sending her this picture to start trouble.

This picture, dated May 11, 2001 was the LAST time that Deputy Rex has been mentioned by NAME in the Harrison Daily Times. Is that a shock collar that is on his neck??? Is Mike Henderson holding his head??? Is it to keep him from biting the teenagers who are straining to barely touch his back???
Gerald Goss is now "training" dogs in College Station, TX under the name "Blueline K9 International", which does NOT have a website. He also still CLAIMS to certify dogs internationally, which REPUTABLE trainers say is not possible!!! It seems that College Station Police "Chief" Ed Feldman and "Handler" Todd Van Dreser do not know ANYTHING about K-9s, otherwise they would have gone with a REPUTABLE trainer such as Bob Eden or Ken Licklider, rather than someone like Gerald Goss who makes false claims such as "training" dogs for the US Secret Service and sells overpriced dogs that are only good for guarding a junk yard and tracking squirrels (ie "Deputy Rex"). College Station, TX Police paid almost $30,000 for their dog, which is more than likely worthless except as a junk yard dog. Gerald Goss's affiliation with LEAD was terminated because he was continually having to replace dogs that were killed (ie Trooper Charlie) because of his bad "training" or just not able to do the work they were allegedly "trained" to do. The "handlers" who support his dogs, such as Todd Van Dresar, like to threaten those who try to inform them about the type of "trainer" that Gerald Goss REALLY is!!! But they have NO clue about GOOD working dogs and REPUTABLE trainers and fail to see that they have been scammed by the likes of Gerald Goss!!!
Which K-9 would you feel safer around?
