City of Harrison K-9 Barry or Boone County "Deputy Rex"?
It seems that K-9 Barry has suddenly been "retired". The alleged excuse is because of old age yet Barry is not an old dog. Naturally I do not believe any excuse the city comes up with regarding this dog!!!
I never hear anything new about "Deputy Rex" either. Maybe they saw the light that he is not a good dog and cannot work??? Any dog that needs a shock collar and cannot find narcotics unless they are hidden in a box in the middle of a church parking lot is NOT a dog that is any good!!! Gerald Goss fancies himself to be a "trainer" but his pathetic results speak for themselves. The question remains though "What did he do with all of the dogs that were returned to his facility in Arkansas??? Did he rename them and sell them to other unsuspecting departments like Greg Durham did with K-9 Roy???"
This was taken about 10 months after the Boone County Sheriff's Department acquired Rex (October 6, 2000). Notice that Rex found drugs in a box in the middle of a parking lot and will not release the baggy that the drugs are in.
He is shaking his head and growling at Mike's trying to take the baggy from him. Mike has the lead extremely tight in this picture. Also, notice how far back the people are standing while they are mistakenly thinking how good a demonstration that this is. "Deputy Rex" was "trained" at the (now defunct, which means out of business) Law Enforcement And Detection "Training" Facility, where Gerald Goss was head "trainer" (he is now "training" dogs in College Station, TX under the name "Blueline K9 International", which does not have a website). It is entirely possible that Rex was NOT imported from Holland as is claimed by Gerald Goss and Rik Wolterbeek. Before the caption was QUICKLY changed to say otherwise, Baden K-9 (owned by Emma Perry) of Canada claimed the dog was from their facility --
