Oh Lord God, You Are Doing Your Will, Your Work ...Thank You, Thank You, Lord! Journey Details - Yes, It's All About You, Lord! Date: July 3, 2006 Oh dear God, please bring all of my children to Yourself ASAP! Thank You, Lord, for the great work I already see You doing in their lives! Hallelujah! Praise Your Holy Name! Thank You, Jesus that You never let go of Your children. Sometimes You have to punish/discipline them, but You are so merciful and keep loving them and drawing them back to You! Thank You, Lord! Hallelujah! Oh Lord, please bring all my children fully, completely (and if necessary - only You know for sure - initially) to You. Thank You, Lord. (Whew!... that last bit... "initially"... You know... thank You, Lord! Load off my shoulders! Thank You for showing me how to pray in this area! Praise Your Almighty Holy Name! Praise God! About my French learning, Lord... I don't know all Your plans in this area - but I know You are in charge because I am learning so much French, so fast! Yesterday I read almost the entire "Selection (Reader's Digest) July edition in just a relatively short time - plus some of the epistles (1 and 2 Thessalonians, and 1 Timothy). Oh, Thank You! Even in my reading, I'm learning so much about how the French language works! And You are helping me to be so much more courageous and bold re speaking orally. Speaking of courageous and bold - I suddenly am able to "speak out" so much more boldly for you, especially with my younger children. And now I'm going to lead Women's Ministry weekly meeting and teach re submission and women's roles as Christians. Wow! And You are helping me use my writing ability to be bold for You, through writing - but oh dear Lord, please help me to be sure to "speak the truth in love" - and oh dear Lord, please, only let me speak Your truth, only, alone! Thank You, Lord! Street meeting... I went again this Friday (alone) and sat down right there on the bench instead of hanging out on the fringes. Maybe next time I'll have the courage to stand up and sing along and/or share a scripture... Lord? It actually really amazes me that You've given me the boldness to get this far! Thank You, Lord! You are doing amazing things in my life - things I've asked for - for years and years - but it looks as though Your time again is what counts. Thank You for letting me "come along for the ride" and maybe help out a bit - at least, You honour me by using me for Your work. Oh, Lord, please help me remember always that it is ALL ABouT YOU!!! thank You, Lord! Oh dear God, please provide for our church the leader/leadership You have purposed, and please help us to listen and follow You, and put our own opinions and preconceptions and desires and experiences aside, to go totally with Your plans and purposes! Thank You, Lord! Please help all of us totally get into Your Word, spend lots of quality time - individually and corporately - in prayerful conversation with You, and be totally open and submissive to the moving and power and guidance of Your Holy Spirit, dear Lord! Oh dear God, please forgive us for our self-centered ideas! Please forgive and cleanse us Lord, please soften our hearts, so that we are totally submitted in love to You - and to love one another in Your body - and to love all those lost in the world. Help us to each come to know You intimately, and bravely and lovingly go out and fulfill Your great commission to go out into all the world and be witnesses of You to all mankind. Thy will be done! Thank You, Lord! Return to the top Norma, My Child, Rest Date: July 10, 2006 Norma, My child, Sit still, child. Open your heart to Me. Lay yourself open before Me. Come before Me. Lay aside your burdens, your cares, your daily rush and bustle. Put it all down, lay it aside. Fold your busy hands gently on your lap, and sit quietly before Me, as Mary did. Rest in Me. Relax. Open your ears. Cose your lips against the rush of words that would pour forth, falling over each other in panicked haste. Just sit quietly. Listen. Listen patiently, restfully, to hear the still, small voice of My Spirit speaking to your spirit. Lay down your busy life, your rushing about, your attempts to serve Me in your own ways and with your own plans and ideas. As I told Martha, so I say to you, "Don't be cumbered about with much serving." I love you just as you are. I do have things for you to do, but I will place them before you in My own perfect time and place, and when I do, you will know they are of Me, for I will at the same time give you the strength and wisdom you need, and in the doing, you will know the joy and peace and love and satisfaction that only I can give. But meanwhile, right now in this quiet hour with Me that I have provided for you, just come, My child, and sit before Me. Feel My Presence. Sense My love. Rest in My peace. Sit quietly at My feet. Choose the better thing, that which Mary chose. I am here with you, Child. I long to bless you. I long to heal your wounds. I long to cleanse your heart and soul and being. I long to fill you with My Presence, pour out My Spirit upon you, and at the end of our quiet time together, arise and walk hand-in-hand with you along the path I have set out for you, My child. Sit still, child. Meet Me. Fix your eyes upon Me. Join your heart, Child, to the heart of your Father God. Quietly worship. Come to know Me. Quietly grow in My grac. Bow low in humility before your God, and learn of Me, for My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Yes, My child, I do have great ways prepared for you to serve me. But you cannot do it in your own strength. You must not follow your own path, no matter how greatly you believe yourself to desire to serve Me and do My will. You must first, rest in Me. I am here, now, in this quiet place with you. Lay down your pen, even, and rest in Me for a time. Block out the world. Block out your own desires, even those desires that you believe are desires to please and serve and worship Me. Just stop now and quietly sit and focus your eyes on Me. Open your ears and listen. Rest in My peace. And later, when My time is right, when I have taught you what you must know, when I have prepared your heart wholly before Me, you and I will rise up together and go forth with joy into the fields of harvest, into the great plans and purposes for which I have created you. I am among My people in Word and deed. This is my family. You are all my children! I will never leave you nor forsake you, and My purposes are being, and will be, fulfilled in Your midst. Fear not, I am with You. Be not afraid. Be strong and of good courage. I am bringing you into the Promised Land which I am preparing for you. Only do not be afraid. Stand firm. Be a pillar of truth for Me in your church, in your community, in Your world. I have made you free! Do not become bound up again in FEAR or in the traditions and thoughts of men. My ways are higher than your ways, My thoughts than your thoughts. You are Mine. Let Me work out, live, by my Spirit, in you, My purposes, My glory through you, through you individually and also through you as My body, under My headship, united as one in Me. Let Me be your King, your Lord. Be free and open in My Spirit. Let Me build and develop in you individually and in unity among all of you as My body. I will lead you, I will guide and strengthen, and help you, if only you will put your selves, your agendas, your own ideas and plans aside, and let Me do My work through you. Return to the top Oh, Lord God, You Are Doing Your Will, Your Work! ...Thank You, Thank You, Lord! Date: July 18, 2006 Dear Heavenly Father, Oh! Yesterday was wonderful! Praise Your Holy Name! Of course the surgeon verified Dad's prognosis of terminal cancer, with only 1 to 3 months to live, but that was expected. Stew, Dad and I had a nice lunch together at Beijing Restaurant. (Thank You so much for the time of prayer and fasting You granted me to share with You in the morning before the appointment! Oh, it is so wonderful, so awe-inspiring to be allowed to step into and dwell within Your presence, Lord! Thank You. Oh, Thank You! Then there was the meeting of the Pastoral Search Team with ______. He affirmed that we must have prayer and fasting before we go any further. Thank You, Lord. Thank You that You keep sending along Your people who can see objectively what we are often blind to, wrapped up as we are in the midst of the circumstances, and sometimes blinded to the truth through our own desires, thoughts and ideas, preconceptions, emotional ties, and of course our own limited maturity! thank You, Lord, for these men of God who have come to point us directly to You, Lord! To focus us upon You, the core and center and head of the church corporate and of each of us as individual memebers of Your body. Oh Lord, help us to do that when they leave, to join together in mighty and true prayer and fasting, Lord, our spirits truly open to You. Cleanse our hearts, Lord, of all that is of ourselves, and of the world, and of the influence of the enemy and his forces, of all that is evil, of all that would in any way distract us from the glory that is Yours alone, from Your one and only eternal purposes for which You created and have redeeme us by Your great and awe-ful mercy and love and judgment. Oh, dear God, cleanse our hearts, purify us, lift up our eyes and ears and hearts from the things of this world, which though we are in it, we are not of; bring our hearts and spirits into oneness and unity, together as believers, together united in You, in Your Holy Spirit, the only source of true unity, the only Way for Your church to fulfill the calling of You, our Lord and Saviour and King and Creator, our One God, holy and blessed and majestic and glorious, from eternity to eternity, forever and ever, Holy and righteous and loving and perfect. Praise Your Holy Name! Amen! Hallelujah! thank You, Lord! Mighty God! Abba Father! .......... And oh Lord, thank You for our Women's group last night. Thank You for leading me in the study. Thank You that though my dad is dying, I do not end up distracted, but am focused on You, through whom I have hope of life eternal, and full confidence that all things are under Your control, and I know of a certainty that You are working all things for good to those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. thank You, Lord, that my mom and dad, and grandparents, and siblings, and my husband - and yes, my children, too - are all called! by You! Praise Your Holy Name! Oh dear God, please use this time - of sorrow and pain in the eyes of the world, yet joy for those who know this is for my Dad only a stepping over from the shadowlands of this world - glorious as it is for those who have known You and walked with You in great joy and peace despite the sorrows that exist in this vale of tears, who have already experienced Your glory, and have had their eyes opened already to the uncounted and glorious manifold blessings that You provide every meoment, and even to those who do not know and recognize You, the great beauty of Your creation, the daily provisions of life which we do not deserve in even the slightest degree, the love of family and friends, and above all, the great mercy and grace You have extended to all whom You would call, that whosoever believes on Your Son shall not perish but have everlasting life. Oh Father God, dear Lord Jesus, precious Holy Spirit - thank You, thank You, thank You for the cross! Thank You, Lord, for bringing Me into this ministry serving women and pointing them to You. Thank You that there is this core group of women in our church who love You, and long to serve You and serve Your children and Your world, and to bring the great news of Your salvation to all people. What was it Madeleine said about the Greek wording of the great commission - that the "Go ye" is a "keep on going" - a daily, step-by-step walking, journeying, sharing our daily lives, presenting the gospel every day by our actions and attitudes and words and thoughts as we live lives filled and directed and fulfilled by Your Spirit! Oh thank You, Lord God! Thank You for the time of sharing. thank You for the work You are doing in our sisters' lives. Oh Lord, help us to come to the true knowledge and understanding of Your Word, Your purposes for us, Your Godly principles. Help us, in love, to bring Your truth about Your design and plan and purpose and role for Godly women in Your body, in the home, church, community and world. Help us to go beyond even "being equal" as the world seeks for women, to understanding and being and fulfilling Your plan of obedient submission, and taking our place in the line of headship You have prepared for us, for our own blessing and good, out of Your love and care and Your eternal purposes for Your family. Thank You for making us Your children, Lord! Oh what a loving, Mighty God we serve! Praise Your Holy Name! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You that we as women could be praying for the men in leadership in our church even as they meet with ____ to discern Your plans and purposes. Oh Lord, thank You for every one of our church leaders. thank You that You have given us men who love You and long to serve You and obey You, and in worship of their spirits to Your Spirit, step obediently into the roles, and yes, even positions, You have prepared for them. thank You, Lord! (And thank You for softening my heart, too, and lifting my eyes up from my agendas, my thoughts and wishes and ideas, to cleansing my heart of "me" and of the thoughts of man which have seemed so "Godly" to me - and to help me to long only that Jesus Christ be all, and all-in-all and that God be totally obeyed, trusted, honoured and glorified.
