Basically it's what I like and why you should give them a chance.
There are five seasons equaling to 200 episodes: Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon R(part 1 &2), Sailor Moon S(uper), Sailor Moon SuperS, and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars.
There are also 3 movies and several specials.
Reason to like it: I will admit, after a few seasons the episodes do seem to mimick each other. (Usagi and her friends just always happen to be in the same place the enemy decides to attack and Sailor Moon always wins) but the deep plot and the colorful character is what makes the season great. It has the qualities of a drama as well at action and comedy.
Why:
Sailor Venus: In the Japanese version, Sailor Venus is the craziest and the weirdest of all the Sailor Senshi. She has such an eccentric personality that she breaks any serious mood with her presence. Plus you never know what she's going to say next. She raises the comedy level from a 10 to an 11 and keeps me entertained.
Sailor Chbi Moon: I know I'll get some questions about this one. On about every Sailor Moon website people see Chibi-Usa as the brat, annoying, too cute, good for nothing, and a troublemaker. However I tend to see her differently. Sailor Moon SuperS is practically all about her so you can really pinpoint her real personal.
Plot: Anti-heroine Lina Inverse is a talented young sorceress who uses her powers for personal gain instead of for justice. However, she ends up having to save the world when she meets up with a colorful cast of characters.
There are 3 season and lots of movies and special. (My boyfriend would know for sure.)
Reason to like it: It's hilarious from beginning to end. A great use of comedy and plot.
I love his cool attitude to everything.I often feel sorry for him in his so far futile attempt to turn back into a human. He may hate being a half human/golom/demon but I think it's part of his charm. He also has a tendence to be a wise guy every once in a while. Truly the most level headed.
Xellos is actually a villian but he is so light-hearted and whimsical with the main characters that he almost seems like a good guy. But under that happy exterior lies a devious mazoku(monster) with a thirst for causing havo.His personally is ecentric yet he always keeps his cool. His duel personalities make him a facionating character.
Plot: 22 year old, ex-gang member Onizuka Eikichi has decided to become the best teacher in Japan. However the private school has given him a troublemaking junior high school to teach. Onizuka now must use his gang-member skills to change every one of them around.
Only one season long of...43 episodes. How very sad.j
Reasons to like it: It's is one of the best animes by far. It's episodes include serious, real life, dramatic problems found in schools and are solved in cliffhanging, humorous episodes with a cast of exciting and diverse characters.
Urumi is the genius girl with an IQ of 200. Instead of being the nerdy, know-it-all, you get a very laid back, devious, and dangerous mastermind who hates school. She's not afraid to speak her mind and wouldn't give a second thought about hurting someone. But she's also very crazy and outgoing which adds to her charm. She often makes Onizuka do tricks for her enjoyment.
