SUMMER 2002

Spring came late to Anchorage this year. We had a late snowfall of 32 inches, which we thought would never melt. But finally it disappeared and we have our lovely green lawn, flowers and veggie garden.

We had guest arrive July 25th, from Tennessee and Arizona. They were only able to stay seven days, but we packed as much as possible into that time.

We had Bill's brother Richard, his wife Vicki, their two children Brent and Amy. They also brought along two friends, Vanessa and Teddy.

Bill's grandson, Brian, from Arizona also joined us for the visit. Brian had been to Alaska to visit once before and we were pleased to have him back again.

Richard and Vicki have worked at the same company for years and will be eligible for retirement before long. But as they are not at the retirement age, they both plan to continue to work.

Brent is an electrician and recently bought a lovely home near his parents. Vanessa has finished her first year in college and plans to go into the educational field. She lives at home with her father.

Amy has finished one year in college and plans to go into office management. Teddy is a steel worker. They both still live at home with their parents.

Brian has attened the University of Arizona and only lacks one year having his Masters. He has decided to take a break from college and work a while. He has been working part time, doing Aerospace Engineering research at the University.

They all arrived late Thursday night and were tired after the long trip. We had planned a weekend camping trip, starting the next day.
