January Meeting!!

The January meeting will be held at Tulley Pontiac-Buick on D.W. Highway in Nashua, NH on Sunday, January 20th, at 2pm. We will meet upstairs in the conference room. We have many important items to discuss, such as elections, meetings, participation and the 2007 show. Your input is needed!!

At the last few meetings, attendance has been minimal. We need to reverse this trend and move forward for 2007! Please make every effort you can to attend this meeting.

The dealership telephone number is 603-888-0550.  Find them on line at www.tulley.com.

Hope to see you there!!

Dues are due again...

Over the past several years (since 1995, in fact) the club funds have come mainly from our gains during the 1995 International Convention. They have subsidized outings, holiday parties, operating and newsletter expenses in full or partially ever since. We even arrived at the point where we discontinued club dues as a membership boosting effort.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and the time has come for us to once more build up the club coffers to ensure the continued operation of the group. Therefore, beginning in 2007, we will again be charging dues for membership. At the last club meeting, it was agreed that a $15 annual fee will be charged per family. To put it into perspective, this works out to $1.25 per month for membership. Let’s face it, there aren’t too many bargains like that available these days.

So at your earliest opportunity, please forward the required funds along with your POCI membership number to Jean Camire (address is on the back cover) so that we can get as accurate an account as possible for the annual report that will soon be due to POCI. Also, once dues are in, we will be holding our annual elections at an upcoming meeting and you will need to be a registered member to vote.

2006 Chapter Elections

Yes, it’s not too early to start thinking about the upcoming elections. A lot of us have been carrying on at the same positions for several years now. Think about getting more involved in the management of the club! Fresh ideas/viewpoints can only help us grow as an organization. Unsure whether you are completely content in the direction the club is going? It’s easy to be a passenger, the real challenge is when you finally get to drive!!

If you’d like to run for a position (President, Vice-President, Newsletter Editor [PLEASE!!]), send in your nomination to either Matt Turner or Bob Whitcher before the next newsletter and we’ll get you on the ballot. Just include your name and a brief biography (“Hi my name is” and “I’d like to do xxxxx because…”) and we’ll be happy to add you to the ballot.

Your Article Could WILL Be Here!!

As you may have noticed, I’ve been advertising in the last several issues of the newsletter for someone to take over the position of newsletter editor. Up to this point, there has been no response. Should anyone be interested, I am more than willing to help get them going and whatever it takes to get the online portion up and running.

Unfortunately family and business commitments have gotten to the point where I can no longer guarantee a timely, best possible newsletter. I started doing this a few years back to fill in a sudden opening in the position. It’s now time for someone else to step up and give it a try.

We’ll try to get club news and information to you as best possible during any transition.

Thank you for your support over the last several years—
Matt
