| ONLINE ADVERTISERS Yes, I think this is an important source to recruit for SW's. NASW is one of the most economical ways to go and generally we get more than enough responses. I usually have luck with NASW, especially now since the market is in bad shape and people are really looking out there. I find that the APA is much more effective for recruiting psychologists, since it's strictly a psychological publication. NASW is better for social workers and marriage and family therapists. The response has been very good so far. It seems to be a wide used website and it is extremely affordable. I would highly recommend it. A good place to advertise is in print and online with the NASW, they have local chapters as well as national publications. Because we are a non-profit as well, we do not have a large advertising budget and I am pretty selective about where I advertise. NASW works great for my positions. It seems that many of the responses we have gotten have come via websites, including the CA NASW website. We have found that some respondents are out of state which opens up our pool of potential candidates, however it becomes difficult to set up face-to-face interviews. NEWSLETTER ADVERTISERS I just recently posted an ad over the magazine(SWT). The response has been favorable. I am pleased with the results, but receive just as many favorable inquiries over the NASW newsletter that is published nationwide. Yes, I think this is an important source to recruit for SW's. |
