It is, in fact, nothing short of a miracle that the modern methods of education have not yet entirely strangled the holy curiosity of inquiry; for this delicate little plant, aside from stimulation, stands mainly in need of freedom; without this it goes to wrack and ruin without fail. It is a very grave mistake to think that the enjoyment of seeing and searching can be promoted by means of coercion and a sense of duty. To the contrary, I believe that it would be possible to rob even a healthy beast of prey of its voraciousness, if it were possible, with the aid of a whip, to force the beast to devour continuously, even when not hungry, especially if the food, handed out under such coercion, were to be selected accordingly.

You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him to find it within himself.

I suppose it is because nearly all children go to school nowadays, and have things arranged for them, that they seem so forlornly unable to produce their own ideas.

The Kalamazoo Cougars JH Soccer Team Report

It is Winter, which meens it is time to get those skis and snow boards out for so real cold weather fun. If you would like a half-off the price pass for skinging or snow boarding at Bitter Sweet ski area please contact Cindy Fadel at (269)-660-6666 or contact Jesse Marsh-Prelesnik at (269)-665-7797

The Kalamazoo Cougars Soccer team season ended in the middle of Fall. The JH (Junior High) soccer team had a winning season with 9 wins,7 losses, and 1 tie. It was a fun season (being as I am a player myself) with only one drawback, that being some of the bad referees. We had 21 kids on the team this year. Half of the kids were new to the team, and the other half ranged from 2nd to 4th year Cougar players.
