Bylaw Meeting

March 2003 Meeting

A teen meeting (no parents, no younger children) was called by President Courtney for Fri, March 14th from1:30-3:00 at the Kalamazoo Public Library to discuss bylaws-- "no one is allowed to tell what was said in the meeting." March 28th was our science fair, but the bylaws proposals, which seemed to imply that families with small children were not welcome, left everyone too upset to enjoy it, and everyone left early. Linda Hoard volunteered to be community club leader since Lorene Taylor cannot attend the Leader's Council meetings. Jack gave a talk on the 4-H Dog Project and the rest of the auction donations were collected. Unsettled is the issue of whether we are a homeschooling group AND a 4-H group (involving whole families), or just a 4-H club for 4-H age children only.

April 2003 Meeting

Nature was the theme for our April 25th activites--a worm box from Janice, and a nature walk. Littles stayed in a side room, and the parents who stayed with them did not attend the meeting. More bylaws were discussed.April
