General Tutoring Center Policies
Irresponsible behavior including the below list will result in appropiate time deductions.
- No cursing
- No eating/drinking (except bottled water)
- No horseplay
- No audible noise from a cell phone
If you stay for less than thirty minutes during one session, the minutes will not be counted as volunteer time unless you stay for at least thirty minutes in another session within the given time period.
All tutors must accrue a total of two hours every two weeks.
Sign in using the school clock mounted on the wall in the hallway.
The SDUHSD disciplinary policy is in full effect.
Prep-Book Policies
- They can only be checked out by a TC-approved tutor.
- Unless the lender gives permission, the book can only be used while the Media Center and the Tutoring Center are open.
- The Tutoring Center is responsible for the books while it is in the Media Center and/or being used by TC.
- We are not responsible for the book if permission of the lender is given by the lender for use outside of the operating hours of the Media Center and/or TC.
- Writing is not allowed in the book.
- Copying via digital and/or analog means is only allowed with permission from the lender.
Appeal Procedure for all Time Reductions and Disciplinary Officers' Committee Decisions
- The statute of limitations is 2 business days, excluding Fridays, after the date that the person has been notified of the decision by the officers' committee and/or reduction of time.
- Appeals must be delivered in person to an officer of the Tutoring Center.
- The appeal must be in writing with the following items:
- Appellant's name
- Appellant's signature
- Date of infraction
- Date of notification
- Amount of time removed and/or committee decision
- Appellant's phone number and/or e-mail address in order to arrange an appeal conference by the officers' committee
