Dressing all the dolls for a photo can take quite some time. Here are some pictures titled "Getting Ready" from the first photo shoot.

Toscano Tyler's bracelet had been broken since I first tried to put it on her. I wanted her to have all the jewelry in the photos, so I had to fix the bracelet. Tyler waited sitting on her box.
Emilie is ready to model the beautiful gown from the Weekend in Washington, DC gift set.
I don't have the original jewelry for Black and White Ball outfit and first I thought to accessorize it with this necklace I tied myself. Eventually I chose Weekend in Washington, DC gift set jewelry, it's much better scaled.
And now, all my Tyler dolls one by one and most of their outfits!
Toscano was my first Tyler doll and at time she was supposed to be the only one. I'll always remember the feeling when I first opened her box and barely dared to touch her. Despite the load of dolls I've got after her, Toscano remains one of my favourites, she never fails to attract me.
Kit was my second 16-inch doll. I chose her because she looks so nice and kind. Unlike many fashion dolls, there's not a bit of arrogance in Kit. And who wouldn't love her red hair and freckles? Whenever I try to sew something for my ladies, Kit gets to be the first model.
Many doll collectors seem to think that Sydney Chase is the prettiest doll of them all but I cannot agree. I find her often too cold and even mean and in early editions her eyes are painted too far from each other. However, sometimes I find a Sydney I really like as was the case with this 2003 High Style Sydney I purchased at eBay at very reasonable price. Her light blue gown isn't excatly my taste but her jewelry definitely is.
Another catch from eBay is this beautiful Papillion Tyler from 2002. Everything about her is so right: paler skin tone, rust hait, simple yet beautiful face paint (love those eyebrows!), silk top and sandals, butterfly skirt and golden jewelry. I've never dared to redress her, she's bought for display and adoring only.
This Stella is the debut of new Chase model sculpt. Her red curly hair, zippered boots and cute furry jacket drove me to buy her. This doll also has nice face paint (unlike later Stellas), her lips glow pretty nicely in photos.
Sammie was exclusive to London Fashion Doll Festival in October 2005. She uses Effanbee's Betty Ann sculpt and is propably the only Sammie that'll ever be made. Her outfit is pretty cool and the doll herself is ok, too, although her eyes are somewhat bigger than those of Tyler and other Tonners. A little irritating.
Along with Sammie I bought this Fleur De Lys Emilie doll, exclusive to Paris Fashion Doll Destival in March 2006. She instantly became my favourite, I think her sculpt is the prettiest of all fashion dolls and I like the unusual combination of bright green eyes and dark brown hair. Emilie is very versatile, she looks great in almost all the Tyler outfits I own.
As I said earlier, I don't care too much of Sydney Chase but my prettiest doll actually is a Sydney. This beauty is called Opening Night and was exclusive to Modern Doll Convention in September 2006. I saw the doll on eBay and knew instantly I had to have her, that's the fastest decision I've ever made on any doll.
Sydney is thoroughly dreamy with lavender eyes and gown and I'm planning to make her an equally ethereal wardrobe.
Here is about a half of 16" doll shoes I own. I'm going to add another photo soon with the rest. Unless otherwise noted, all shoes are from Tyler collection.
Respective outfits, front row left to right: Toscano, Champagne Bubble, Madison Avenue Afternoon, World Class Beauty (Alex)
Second row, left to right: Opening Night, Fleur de Lys, Standing Ovation, Dance Class (NYCB), Tatters (Ellowyne)
Back row, left to right: Hight Style 2003, Fashion Awards of the Year, Melancholy Melody (Ellowyne), Papillion, Weekend in Washington, DC, Black and White Ball
Similar collective piccy of 16" fashion doll jewelry. Most of these can be seen in doll photos, try and find the matching outfits!
Miscellanious accessories for Tyler: sunglasses from Madison Avenue Afternoon, gift box from Weekend in Washington, DC, transparent trophy from Standing Ovation and "golden" trophy from Fashion Awards of the Year. Everything else from Design Essentials Set.
This 2004 outfit called Tyler-Made was my very first TW-item. I had ordered Toscano Tyler before the outfit, but the latter arrived first. I loved it right from the beginning and marveled at the zippered bag and the small buttons and back slit of the coat. When Tyler came home I was thrilled to try the outfit on her and was pleased to see how well it fitted.
It seems Tyler-Made hasn't been the most popular outfits of Tyler, but I like it a lot and it looks great on Kit and Emilie as well as on Toscano Tyler.
Here's the linen dress of Tyler-Made outfit. Sewing accessories are a part of Design Essentials set.
Kit's as cute as ever in 2000 Champagne Bubble outfit.
This Black and White Ball outfit was originally sold on Sydney doll in 2001. I don't care too much for Sydneys, especially the early ones, so getting this outfit only was the thing for me.
Here's Tyler in Standing Ovation, also from a 2001 dressed doll
Not many TW-creations in my collection look fine on Stella, but this one, Fashion Awards of the Year from 2006 line, is an exception.
We both have a trophy!
Now let's see what came with the Weekend in Washington, DC gift set from 2001. Tyler doll with thick blonde curls was included, you can see her in the group shot. I don't like this doll particularly, so she might be the first doll with whom I'll start my rerooting experiments. My darling Emilie gets to model her clothing.
I purchased the whole set mainly because of this gown, it's one of the most beautiful pieces of clothing Tyler's ever had. The top layer is black beaded lace, underneath is a layer of bright fuchsia silk. Back side is luxurious with low neckline and trail. I cannot understand why the gift set doll is long-haired, the beautiful back of the gown is hidden under her burst of curls.
Originally the gown was designed for 2000 doll called White House Dinner, but factories run out of fabric and only about a fifth of dolls planned were produced. Tonner had more fabric specially made and made the gown available again in the gift set the following year.
Gift set organza shirt and leather skirt are combined with silk satin top I've sewn myself. I like everything with rhinestones, but have to admit the buttons on this shirt look a little oversized for such a light-weight garment.
Here the rhinestone buttons don't look a bit too big! I love this luxurious coat and it suits all the dolls very nicely. There's no beating black, I guess.
And finally, knit top with black leather pants and suede pumps, a bit more relaxed outfit than three former.
Some new items from Tyler Ready-to-wear line from Tonner Fall 2008/09 collection. In the last couple of years, they've done only formal clothing for RTW, so this fall I was delighted to see some casual wear and bought several pieces. Colours being pink, lavender and silvery white, I think these clothes look best on brunettes, so Sydney and Emilie get to model. Sydney is wearing floral truffle trench coat over lavender cords, while Emilie has spare change top and flaring jeans (I'm not sure what Tonner name for these jeans was, they don't look like any of the three pairs released. Still, I like them a LOT!). All the pieces are great quality, all the fabrics are nice, everything fits excatly and the closing of the coat is clever. Love these!
Here you can see the top part of lavender cords with the belt. Blouse is from Madame Alexander outfit. Emilie's trying on bonbon tunic with her jeans.
For several reasons (amateur photography/styling, fixing some clothing)some of the outfits are not shown here yet. More stuff coming:
