Sir Richard Edmund Goodenough, Bt, is the second baronet Goodenough of Broadwell and Filkins, in the county of Oxford. Born 1925, he succeeded his father, Sir William Macnamara Goodenough, in 1951.

Sir Richard was educated at Eton College and Christ Church College Oxford. He married a New Zealander in 1951, and has lived in New Zealand, although he now resides in the United Kingdom.

The family are descend from Richard Goodynow, of Bradwell (or Broadwell), Oxfordshire, which included the present parish of Filkins until the nineteenth century. He died c.1560. The former seat of the family was Filkins Hall, Lechlade, Gloucestershire.

The first baronet, Sir William, was the son of Frederick Goodenough, of Filkins Hall. He was Chairman of Barclays Bank, and of the Nuffield Foundation, and five other Nuffield trusts. He was created a baronet in the baronetage of the United Kingdom in 1943.

The armorial bearings of the baronet are Or a chevron Gules between three guttés de sang. The guttés de sang are drops of Gules, representing blood.

The crest is a demi-wolf Proper, holding between his paws an escallop Argent. The motto is Ad sanguinem. There are no supporters.
